Chef proprietor, Scott Hessel bought the former cunning corner inn, and after extensive refurbishment, has now opened what has become affectionatley known as the Bore. Antique furniture, flagged floors, oak beams and a wealth of interesting detail, make for cosy lunches and candlit suppers. The style of food is described as modern british using wherever possible, seasonal produce from a strong network of suppliers. The bar with it's fine cask ales is a haunt for locals and visitors alike.

'SCOTT'S' HOMEMADE FLAVOURED GIN Chef patron Scott Hessel started making flavoured gins when we opened in june and the first ones where released in early november. We are now making three different flavours on a regular basis. Currently rhubarb & ginger, lime & cherry.
There are plans to sell them to take home, please ask.
